STRATEGIC PLANNING
HOPE SMALL TOWN PARTNERSHIPS
This strategic planning process for seven communities within the State of Mississippi involved researching the historical contexts, analyzing the demographic and economic characteristics, and community engagement processes for each city. We worked with residents, elected officials, community leaders, and business professionals to identify strategies that would encourage economic and cultural growth.
WEST JACKSON PLANNING PROCESS
I led a community-initiated planning process for an area just west of downtown Jackson. We focused on building community consensus through an aggressive community engagement process. Physical, demographic, cultural, and historic contexts were researched and analyzed to produce a community guidebook of best practices to move forward.
FREEDOM SUMMER 50TH ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE

I produced graphic design and facilities planning and management for the Freedom Summer 50th Anniversary Conference. Large scale memorials were designed to honor participants and those murdered in Mississippi during the Freedom Summer Project. Campus maps and signage were developed to organized conference logistics and to facilitate wayfinding for participants.
SITE PLANNING
STRONGTOWER AT WASHINGTON PARK
I provided site analysis and program planning for a triangular tract of land in inner-city Montgomery. The site is to house a church, school, and sports facilities for the surrounding community.
COTTON GIN PLAN FOR THE CITY OF YAZOO CITY
I led a site planning process for a mixed-use development on a brownfield. This process included evaluating the city’s physical, demographic, and cultural context to identify projects that were a good fit for the community. Economic viability analysis, community partnership evaluation, and funding research were essential to the project.
CAMPUS & FACILITIES PLANNING
HOLMES COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
In this plan, I evaluated seven schools within the Holmes County School District to recommend best practices for maintenance, renovation, and new construction. Current trends in 21st-century learning, school performance ratings, and performance expectations informed the planning of the school’s built environment.
TOUGALOO COLLEGE
I facilitated a campus planning process that involved analyzing current conditions, academic needs, and student services requirements. Forecasting was used to gauge future campus needs and provide a guideline for future growth. I developed maintenance, renovation, and new construction schedules with a comprehensive budget.
HINDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE 
I led a facilities master planning process for six campuses in the Hinds Community College system. This plan included researching and analyzing the surrounding communities, campus demographics, the campus built-environment, current and projected trends in enrollment, and space usage to revealed more sustainable ways for campus growth.
